EZ EAT’N
Being healthy, losing weight and feeling great. All in a couple steps that are way too easy.
CUT THE CARBS
Cutting down on carbohydrates and sugar is fantastic and can help you loose weight, lower your blood sugar, feel better, and live longer. And as you take it more seriously, you start to realize how hidden the sweet stuff really is.
CUT DOWN ON VEGETABLE OILS
These include any oil that came from a plant, like canola, safflower, sunflower, corn, soybean, palm, and cottonseed. They are the reason fried foods are so unhealthy.
Many professionals use coconut, avocado and olive oils, but even the highest of qualities can have oxidation, which is what happens to oil when it starts to go bad.
Using butter is a great way to go, especially if it’s from pasture raised cows. It’s delicious, nutrition packed, helps keep you satisfied after a meal and doesn't oxidize like oils.
Overall, the idea is to go for more animal foods while avoiding plant foods, like sugar cane and wheat.
When frying, be careful not too over-heat the butter or oil you’re using. Ghee is a great alternative to butter as it can be cooked at higher temperatures.
Generally, if you cook around low to medium-low heat, you’re okay, depending on your stove.
Look-up the “smoke point,” or the temperature at which butter or oil starts burning or smoking and becomes very unhealthy.
